Chris Hemsworth and Margot Robbie Promote Marriage Equality in Australia

Chris Hemsworth encouraged his fellow Australians to vote in favour of legalizing same sex marriage next month through an Instagram post he shared on Wednesday.

“Dear open minded, free speaking, laid back, life loving Aussies,” the Avengers star wrote. “Marriage is about love and commitment and, in a country based on equal citizenship, it should be available to everyone! Vote now for marriage equality.”

The photo he posted gave reminder to his fans that they’ve only got 24 hours to “check and update” their electoral details so they can vote when it is due.

The 34-year-old actor, who is married to Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, isn’t the only star from Down Under to support marriage equality cause. Margot Robbie also posted on Instagram Wednesday to share details on how to vote for those living abroad but still want to have a voice in the upcoming election.

“LOVE IS LOVE,” the Suicide Squad star captioned a photo of herself wearing heart-shaped glasses. “Aussie’s living overseas like me, register to vote before August 24th #marriageequality#australia.”

The 27-year-old actress recently got married to wedding assistant film director Tom Ackerley in December. The couple met on the set of her World War II romantic drama, Suite Francaise, in 2013, ET reports.
