Chrissy Metz is taking a break from family drama and it dipping her toes in some comedy.
According to multiple outlets, Metz has landed a guest star gig on an upcoming episode of NBC’s Superstore. The single-camera sitcom follows a group of employees working at “Cloud 9”, a fictional big-box store in St. Louis, Missouri. Metz is set to play Luanne, an “all-business” human resources rep who is called in to investigate a series of very public and very embarrassing tweets.
Currently in its fourth season, Superstore returns this Thursday after a three month hiatus. It stars America Ferrera, Ben Feldman and Mark McKinney. Also starring are Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos and Nichole Bloom.
Metz is best known for her role as Kate Pearson on This Is Us.
Superstore returns March 7, with Metz’s episode set to air in May.
