Before getting her big break with her debut album, Christina Aguilera won us over with the song “Reflection” from the Disney movie Mulan, and she’s finally ready to go back to her roots. The live remake of this animated classic will feature another song she recorded – “Loyal Brave True.”
According to the singer, this song “represents the fine balance between vulnerability and strength”, and she expressed her excitement about stepping back into Mulan’s world.
“It’s amazing to come back to such an incredible movie that’s full of power and meaning, and that meaning holds the test of time: staying true to yourself, being who you are, and teaching how to be fearless,” explained Aguilera in a statement.
“Loyal Brave True” will be released as a part of the Mulan soundtrack, alongside an updated version of “Reflection”. The film itself is expected to premiere on March 27th, with Liu Yifei playing the role of the titular Disney heroine.
