Cillian Murphy in Talks to Join “A Quiet Place” Sequel

Cillian Murphy is in negotiations to join the sequel to A Quiet Place. 

Murphy will star alongside returning actors Emily Blunt and kids stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. The three and John Krasinski starred as the Abbott family, who is fighting to survive in a world overrun by vicious, blind monsters that hunt their prey through their enhanced hearing. Krasinski is also returning as the film’s director and writer. 

Though additional plot and casting details are kept seriously quiet, according to Entertainment Weekly, should he join, Murphy is said to play a man who joins the Abbott family unit, though his intentions are mysterious.

A Quiet Place was a sleeper hit, bringing in $340 million in the global box-office on a $17 million budget.

Murphy is a frequent Christopher Nolan collaborator, starring in the director’s Batman trilogy and WWI drama Dunkirk.
