The fairytale Cinderella starring Camila Cabello has gotten a musical, modern spin.

In this version, Cinderella goes by Ella, and she dreams of having a fashion empire while trapped with her stepmother (Idina Menzel) and stepsisters. After Ella is banned from going to the ball by her evil stepmother, which ruins her chances of showing off her custom gowns, she gets help from a Fabulous Godmother (Billy Porter). While there, she catches the eye of Prince Robert (Nicholas Galitzine).

“Do you want to go to that ball, and meet a bunch of rich people who will change your life?” the Fabulous Godmother asks her. “Yes,” Ella responds, “I was just crying and singing about it like two minutes ago.”

Cinderella was written and directed by Kay Cannon (30 Rock, Pitch Perfect). Minnie Driver, James Corden, and Pierce Brosnan also join the cast.

The film will be released on Amazon Prime on September 3. Watch the trailer below.
