Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber made her runway debut during New York Fashion Week. This was the first time the 16-year-old walked multiple high-profile runway shows, including Chanel, Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs.

Crawford spoke with Associated Press about her daughter modeling career, saying that she did have a little bit of apprehension.

“In some ways, I wish I could have pushed it off a year or two. But she’s 16. That’s how old I was when I started, which is young, but in fashion, that’s kind of the normal age when people start.”

The 51-year-old supermodel admitted that the upside of things is that she knows “a lot about that world,” adding that she feels like she can really guide Kaia and 18-year-old son, who’s also a model, in their careers.
