“Cold War” Scores Big Victory at the 2018 European Film Awards

Another awards ceremony is behind us, and Cold War was the biggest winner of the night. This black-and-white Polish drama took home five trophies at the 2018 European Film Awards.

Cold War premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received rave reviews and won the award for Best Director. Pawel Pawlikowski replicated his success at this year’s European Film Awards, but it wasn’t the only category where his project came out victorious.

Cold War also scored a victory in the main category of best European film. Joanna Kulig was honored with the best actress award, and Pawlikowski received another trophy for writing the script for this groundbreaking love story.

This movie has been selected as the Polish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the upcoming Academy Awards, and it’s considered to be one of the front-runners.
