Sam Mendes’ War World I movie has just tapped some major talent.
According to multiple outlets, Benedict Cumberbatch and Colin Firth will star in the feature titled 1917. They will star opposite the previously cast Richard Madden (Game of Thrones, Bodyguard).
Also starring are Andrew Scott, Daniel Mays, Adrian Scarborough, Jamie Parker, Nabhaan Rizwan and Claire Duburcq.
The DreamWorks Pictures and Universal Pictures film is set to star shooting on April 1 on location in England and Scotland. According to Variety, the feature was given a limited release date of December 25, and then go wide on Jan. 10, 2020.
1917 will be directed by Mendes from a script co-written by himself with Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Mendes is also producing alongside Pippa Harris, Jayne-Ann Tenggren and Callum McDougall.
