“Colony” Canceled After 3 Seasons on USA

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that USA Network has canceled the sci-fi drama after three seasons.

The network’s decision to pull the plug follows low ratings and declining viewership during its third and now recently completed final season. Season three suffered a drop of 42 percent in viewers versus season two according to the outlet.

The series which stars Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies is helmed by creators Ryan J. Condal and Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and centered on a family trying to survive in a near-future LA taken over by aliens which forces them into an underground resistance movement.

The series also starred Peter Jacobson, Tory Kittles, Alex Neustadter, Isabella Crovetti-Cramp and Jacob Buster.
