Country Music Icon Kenny Rogers Dies

The country music star has passed away Friday night. 

Kenny Rogers’ death was confirmed by his reps in a statement shared on social media. 

“The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25PM at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.”

Rogers is best known for hits such as “The Gambler,” “Lady” and “Islands in the Stream.”

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Rogers family is holding a small, private service, with a public memorial planned for a later date.
