“Crashing” Canceled After Three Seasons

HBO has pulled the plug on the comedy series, Crashing.

Multiple outlets confirm that this week’s third season finale, will now serve as the series finale.

The news was (sort of) revealed by series executive producer and director Judd Apatow during a recent appearance on Conan.

“Well, it’s not really canceled,” Apatow told host Conan O’Brien. “We’re just going to stop making it.”

“What stopped you from making more?” O’Brien asked.

“They told us we should never make any more,” Apatow replied and added, “We were very happy that we got to tell the story that we wanted to tell, and we do have an ending.”

Crashing was created by Pete Holmes, who also starred as the lead. The comedy was inspired on Holmes’ own experiences as a comedian. Executive producing alongside Apatow and Holmes were Judah Miller, Igor Srubshchik and Oren Brimer.
