Daniel Craig Ready To Solve Murder Mystery In “Knives Out”

The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is going back to his murder mystery roots, and he’s taking Daniel Craig for a ride. The latest Bond will take a little break from playing 007 to star in Johnson’s next project called Knives Out.

This contemporary murder mystery follows a detective played by Craig, who’s trying to solve a violent crime. Sounds like dozens of movies we’ve already seen before, but the creative team behind it will certainly be able to come up with something ground-breaking

Johnson will produce the film with his frequent collaborator Ram Bergman. He wrote the original screenplay over the summer but had a hard time thinking of anyone who would be perfect for the lead role.

Johnson has been a huge fan of Daniel Craig for years but knew his schedule was already pretty busy. Everything changed after Danny Boyle suddenly left the director’s chair of Bond 25. Production of this project has been delayed after his departure, and the lead actor finally had some free time on his hands.

“We heard Daniel might have a small window, and it worked out. He’s an actor of extraordinary range, and we are looking forward to the fun of finding that modern detective and collaborating with Daniel on creating a new Poirot,” explained Johnson.
