And the reboot bonanza is still on.
A new reboot is in the works this time at MTV Studios, a new production unit launched by the network.
Alongside the re-imagining of Aeon Flux and The Real World is a new iteration of Daria.
“MTV has the biggest collection of hit youth franchises that spans more than three decades of content and over 200 titles, part of which have fueled our resurgence,” said MTV President Chris McCarthy in a statement. “With MTV Studios, we are for the first time ever opening up this vault beyond our own platforms to reimagine the franchises with new partners.”
The new version of the animated series will be penned by Inside Amy Schumer writer Grace Edwards.
The original series ran on MTV from 1997 to 2002 and originated from the Beavis and Butt-head series.
No premiere details have been confirmed.
