Entertainment Weekly confirms that Dave Bautista has joined the cast of the Dune reboot.
Bautista will star opposite Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson who have been tapped to star in the film. There are no additional details about the character Bautista is set to play.
The new film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science-fiction novel is directed by Denis Villeneuve. Villeneuve will also co-write the script with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts. The feature also marks a reunion for Bautista and Villeneuve who worked together on Blade Runner 2049.
The novel, first published in 1965 was first adapted for the big screen by David Lynch.
