Dave Bautista has been tapped star in the Zack Snyder-helmed zombie film, Army of the Dead.
The former bodybuilder and martial artist has joined Netflix’s Army of the Dead. Principal photography is set to begin later this year.
The film follows a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, when a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
Shay Hatten and Snyder are penning the screenplay from Snyder’s story. Producing the $70 million-budget film are Snyder and his partner Deborah Snyder. Overseeing the project for the streamer are Ori Marmur and Andrew Norman.
Snyder’s directorial credits include Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Man of Steel. You can see Bautista in Avengers: Endgame, which opens April 26.
