David Tennant & Cush Jumbo Join “Deadwater Fell”

The Good Fight’s Cush Jumbo and Good Omens David Tennant have been tapped as the leads in Channel 4 forthcoming crime drama Deadwater Fell (working title).

Tennnat and Jumbo will star opposite previously announced Anna Madeley (The Crown) and Matthew McNulty (The Terror).

The series hails from Daisy Coulam, Grantchester scribe. The project will be filmed on location in Scotland.

Tennant will play trusted local doctor Tom Kendrick. A house shatters the community after it is discovered that while Tom survived his wife Kate, played by Madeley, did not but she also didn’t die from the fire. The fingers of suspicion point first to Tom, then to others as more details of that might emerge.

Jumbo stars as Jess Kate’s best friend and confidante. Jess becomes desperate to understand what could have caused such a tragedy, no matter how devastating the truth may be.

“Daisy Coulam has written something very special, chilling and fascinating with these scripts,” said Tennant. “I am honored and delighted to be part of telling this extraordinary story.”

“I’m so excited to be part of bringing Daisy’s dark and mysterious story and the character of Jess to life,” added Jumbo.
