Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s hit Despacito is officially the most streamed song ever. The original track and the official remix with Justin Bieber have 4.6 billion plays combined in the first six months.
This is also a new record for Bieber, as his song Sorry was previously the most listened one with 4.38 billion plays (including official remixes).
The two tracks have over 3.1 billion views on YouTube and over 1.1 billion plays on Spotify.
Fonsi commented: “Streaming is a connector for audiences worldwide and it has helped my music reach every corner of the planet. It is truly an honor that ‘Despacito’ is now the most streamed song in history.”
