Another day, another remake.

Multiple outlets confirm that Disney is working on a remake of its 1973 animated film Robin Hood. The original was directed by Wolfgang Reitherman with Hood portrayed as a fox, leading the fight against Prince John’s excessive taxation.

The new iteration of the classic story of Robin Hood hails from Blindspotting director Carlos Lopez Estrada. Kari Granlund, the Lady and the Tramp reboot scribe, is attached to pen with Justin Springer set to produce the pic.

The forthcoming film for Disney+ is being developed in a CGI — live-action hybrid format, similar to the remakes of The Jungle Book and Dumbo
