First came Ariana Grande’s performance of “I Won’t Say I’m in Love,” and now we learn that a Hercules live-action remake is officially in the works.
The Hollywood Reporter was first to report that Disney has put into development a live-action remake of its 1997 animated movie Hercules.
According to the outlet, Dave Callaham will pen the script, while Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War filmmakers, Joe and Anthony Russo, are set to produce via their AGBO banner. The Russos are the only producers on the project and will not direct.
We already know that Disney either follows the original material closely or takes a much looser approach to the source material, but for now, it’s too early to tell…
