“Divorce” Renewed for Season 3 at HBO

HBO renews Divorce for a third season. 

News of an additional season comes almost eight months after the show’s season 2 finale aired. The comedy will be back for season three following lengthy negotiations according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Divorce follows the dissolution of Frances played by and Robert’s marriage played by Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church respectively.

HBO has renewed the series for a six-episode third season — which is considerably less in comparison to the first and second season which tallied ten and eight episodes respectively. 

News of a renewal comes alongside some changes including the promotion of co-executive producer Liz Tuccillo to showrunner and executive producer and recurring star Becki Newton, who has been bumped to series regular. Thomas Haden Church, Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam, Tracy Letts, Sterling Jerins and Charlie Kilgore round out the cast.
