Dixie Chicks kept us waiting for their next album for over a decade – but the wait is finally over. The band’s new album Gaslighter is coming our way in less than two months, and it’s going to be their first album in 14 years.

The Grammy-winning country group is releasing their new record on May 1st, and their first single is already here. The music video for “Gaslighter” shows the trio wearing military outfits, and it features a series of old archival clips.

This song has been produced and co-written by Jack Antonoff, just like the rest of their album. Dixie Chicks discussed their collaboration with this superstar producer during a recent appearance on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show and said they immediately knew that Antonoff had to work on their album because he blew them away with this song.

Dixie Chicks went on hiatus shortly after their last album Taking the Long Way came out in 2006. They went back to touring on several occasions in the meantime, but Gaslighter is the first studio album they recorded since taking a break.
