Dixie Chicks have confirmed that they have a new album coming!
It has been well over a decade with no new music from the all-female group.
But now we have an official announcement from band members Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire who took to social media Tuesday to confirm that after 13 years they have new music on the way.
The three were joined by producer Jack Antonoff in the video announcement shared on Maines’ Instagram account.
The clip features Maines exclaiming “Dixie Chicks!” before turning the camera to Robison and Maguire who chime in with “Album!” and “Coming!” with Antonoff closing the vid with “Someday!”
A new album was first teased last year with a series of photos shared by Maine that featured Antonoff and Bleachers frontman. The post was captioned with #dcx2018.
Dixie Chicks last album was 2006’s Taking the Long Way. It won two Grammys for Album of the Year as well as Best Country Album.
