“Doom Patrol” Renewed for Season 2

The critically acclaimed series will return for season 2 on two streaming platforms. 

Executive producer Jeremy Carver confirmed the news that Doom Patrol has been renewed for a second season at San-Diego Comic-Con on Saturday evening. Star Diane Guerrero also confirmed that the show will also be available on HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service.

The series written by Carver is based on characters by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani. It is a re-imagining of the story that follows a group of outcast superheroes, who suffered accidents that gave them superhuman abilities but also left them disfigured including Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl, Crazy Jane, and mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder.

According to Variety, Doom Patrol has been the most well-received DC Universe series to date, with season 1 holding a 95% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
