Dua Lipa is currently busy teasing her next album, and the more we learn about it—the more excited we are! The Grammy-winning singer took to social media to share a cryptic teaser that apparently features snippets of her next single “Houdini”.
Earlier this month, Lipa’s fans predicted she was gearing up for a new era after she wiped her Instagram profile clean – and it turns up they were up to something. The singer went on to share several clips teasing new music, but promptly deleted them all before dropping the final piece of the puzzle – the teaser for her new single “Houdini”.
Lipa has yet to officially confirm the title of her next song, but her clip featured several references to the famous magician. The teaser hit the shelves on October 31, the anniversary of Houdini’s death, and featured numbers 4 8 9 9 14 15 21, which can be translated into letters of his name, and it shows Lipa holding a key between her teeth, referencing the method of escape that Houdini used most frequently.
“Houdini” is expected to be featured on Lipa’s third studio album, set to be released sometime next year. It will serve as a follow-up to her career-defining record Future Nostalgia, which produced hit singles “Don’t Start Now”, “Physical”, “Break My Heart”, and “Levitating”.
