Just two days after releasing a music video for “Put It All on Me,” Sheeran announced on Instagram that he’s taking a break from social media and music.

“Hello all. Gonna go on another break again. The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world. I’ve been a bit nonstop since 2017 so I’m just gonna take a breather to travel, write, and read. I’ll be off social media until it’s time to come back,” the post reads.

But don’t worry, Sheeran isn’t leaving the industry for good, “I promise to be back with some new music when the time is right and I’ve lived a little more to actually have something to write about.”

2019 was a huge year for Sheeran; his No. 6 Collaborations Project album was his third to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, he broke Billboard Boxscore records on his Divide Tour, and he topped the 2010s most-streamed song with “Shape of You.”
