Eddie Murphy and his fiancee Paige Butcher have welcomed their baby boy last Friday. This is Murphy’s 10th child, and Butcher’s second.
The news was confirmed Murphy’s rep on Monday. The statement revealed the newborn’s name — Max Charles Murphy. According to People Magazine, the baby’s middle name is in homage to Murphy’s brother, actor Charlie Murphy, who died of leukemia last year. Max Charles joins the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona Murphy.
The statement added that the mother and 6 pounds, 11 ounces baby are doing just fine.
The actor and the Australian model have been dating since 2012, and they recently became engaged.
In addition to his two youngest children with Butcher, Murphy has eight older kids — Eric, 29, and Christian, 28, with former girlfriends Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood, respectively, Bella Zahra, 16, Zola Ivy, 18, Shayne Audra, 23, Bria, 28, and Miles Mitchell, 25, with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy and Angel Iris Murphy Brown, 11, with Spice Girls Mel B.
