Edgar Wright Confirms Baby Driver 2 Script is Finished

Released in 2017, Edgar Wright’s action film Baby Driver became a surprisingly satisfying feature and left fans asking for more. Now, it seems like there is a big chance for that to happen in the future since Wright recently confirmed that a script for Baby Driver 2 is finished.

In a recent interview with Empire, Wright confirmed that he has the first draft for the sequel adding that it takes the story further.

“A first draft of Baby Driver 2 exists,” said the 44-year-old filmmaker before explaining that the movie will introduce new characters and expand the existing world set up by the first film. And, don’t worry; Ansel Elgort will be back as Baby once again.

Edgar Wright also talked about some of his other projects, revealing that he is currently working on a psychological horror film inspired by Nicolas Roeg’s 1973 thriller Don’t Look Now and Roman Polanski’s acclaimed movie from 1965, Repulsion. While Wright didn’t offer many details about the film, he did reveal that the shooting is scheduled to start in the summer and that it will have a female lead.

“I realized I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years,” he explained. “With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead, you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”
