Elisabeth Moss, Susan Sarandon Join Women’s Rights Drama

It’s always a blast to watch our favorite actors explore the topics they’re really passionate about, and that’s exactly what Elisabeth Moss and Susan Sarandon intend to do in their next movie Call Jane.

This promising women’s rights drama centers on the Jane Collective – an underground abortion service set it Chicago. It tells the story of the movement through the eyes of a 1960s traditional American housewife who has nowhere to turn after a pregnancy she desperately wanted turns into an imminent threat to her life.

Sian Heder will be in charge of directing this film, based on a script by Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi. Call Jane will be produced by Robbie Brenner, who has fully confidence in the creative team she entrusted with bringing this story to life.

“I feel a responsibility with Call Jane to tell the incredible story of these brave women at a time when women’s rights and empowerment hangs in the balance. I have no doubt that Sian will craft a beautiful and important film with our dedicated and amazing cast, Elisabeth and Susan,” stated Brenner.
