Elle Fanning and her on-screen villainous mom are back on set together and are cuter than ever.
The 20-year-old starlet took to social media, sharing candid behind-the-scenes snaps of herself and co-star Angelina Jolie. The adorable pics features Angelina in her character’s horns and red lipstick.
In one of the photos, Fanning sports a pair of sunglasses while Jolie, hides behind her with only her character’s horns visible. “Ultimate Photobomb,” Fanning captioned it. “#Maleficent2.” Fanning hilariously captioned the second photo of the duo with “It’s bring your mom to work day on the #Maleficent2 set!!!!!”
The on-set reunion confirms that production is officially underway for Disney’s blockbuster hit, Maleficent. Jolie and Fanning are reprising their roles as Maleficent and Princess Aurora, respectively.
Production on the sequel begins four years after the original premiered. The sequel picks up several years after the original, following Maleficent and Princess Aurora as they “form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.”
Also joining the project are Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith, Harris Dickinson as Prince Phillip, Aurora’s love interest, as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, and Robert Lindsay.
