The daytime TV host took to social media to announce that she will be hitting the road later this year.
For the first time in fifteen years, Ellen DeGeneres fans will have eight chances to see her returning to her roots, performing live behind the mic. An Evening With Ellen DeGeneres opens in August and includes locations in San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.
During her two stops at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, DeGeneres will be taping her upcoming Netflix special, announced back in May. Back then she said in a release via the streaming giant: “It has been 15 years since I did a stand-up special. 15 years. And I’m writing it now, I can’t wait. I’ll keep you posted when and where I’m gonna shoot my Netflix special. I’m excited to do it; I’m excited for you to see it.”
