We didn’t see that coming.
While Game of Thrones’ fans were given fair warning that Kit Harington would most likely cut off his long hair once filming was done, Emilia Clarke opted for the surprise factor.
The star of the hit fantasy series took to Instagram Thursday to show off her fresh new look, writing alongside a snap of her new cut, “Me: I’m thinking when Gwyneth and Brad had the same hair cut.” She also added, “#nowijustneedanextra2feetoflegs” and #fortheloveofthelowmaintenance.”
This isn’t the first time the Mother of Dragons have chopped all her hair off. Back in July Clarke sported a middle-parted blunt bob, which she also shared on Instagram. “In other news this FABULOUS new bob is the chicest way to style out some burnt-out mother of dragons split ends #whenyoulooklikeawildlingitstimetochop.”
Meanwhile, Harington has yet to change his do, saying in a recent interview, “It’s strange to think now that I can change it. Do I want to change it? Am I going to change it? I don’t know.”
Game of Thrones returns for its final season in 2019.
