The Hunt has finally done some casting.
According to Deadline, Universal and Blumhouse’s upcoming action thriller has cast Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, and Glenn Howerton. This is the production’s first casting.
The politically charged feature from Damon Lindelof’s will be directed by Craig Zobel from a script penned by Nick Cuse. It is being produced by Jason Blum and Lindelof, under his White Rabbit banner. Cuse and Zobel will executive produce.
According to the outlet, while no details have been revealed regarding the plot, sources say it “explores escalating aggressiveness between the political right and left in America.”
Roberts is best known for her role as Madison Montgomery on FX’s anthology, American Horror Story. Hartley stars as Kevin Pearson on NBC’s no. 1 family drama, This Is Us, and Howerton credits include It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Mindy Project, Fargo, and House of Lies.
The Hunt is expected to hit theaters October 18.
