Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos have given us several amazing movies by each other’s side, and their next collaboration is on the way. The Oscar-winning actress is eyeing a key role in Lanthimos’ remake of the Korean film Save the Green Planet.

Save the Green Planet was originally directed by Jang Joon-hwan, and it centers on a disillusioned young man who’s convinced that the world is on the verge of an alien invasion and decides to do everything in his power to save the world.

Joon-hwan was previously in talks to direct the English-language remake of his film before Lanthimos hopped on board. Will Tracy (The Menu) wrote the screenplay for this remake, which will kick off production in the UK and New York later this summer.

Stone will most likely play a supporting role in this project, which marks her latest collaboration with Lanthimos. The Favourite was their first film by each other’s side, and Stone went on to star in his short film Bleat and the black comedy Poor Things, which earned her an Oscar nomination for the best lead actress.

She’ll also appear in Lanthimos’ upcoming anthology film Kinds of Kindness alongside Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, and Hunter Schafer.
