Ari Aster is rounding out the cast of his next film Eddington, and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars will be a part of its ensemble. Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler have joined Joaquin Phoenix in Aster’s next A24 film.

Phoenix will reunite with Aster on this mystery project, after previously leading his previous film Beau Is Afraid. Not much is known about their next collaboration, but it’s been rumored it will be a Western about a small-town sheriff with high expectations. It’s safe to expect it will explore the dark side of the human psyche, like all of Aster’s previous films.

In addition to Phoenix, this film will also star the Emmy nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), the recent Oscar winner Emma Stone (Poor Things), and Oscar nominee Austin Butler (Dune: Part Two).

They’ll also be joined by Luke Grimes (Yellowstone), Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range), Micheal Ward (Top Boy), and Clifton Collins Jr. (Jockey) in supporting roles.

Eddington will mark Aster’s fourth collaboration with A24, following the success of his horror films Hereditary and Midsommar and last year’s tragicomedy Beau Is Afraid. In addition to writing and directing this film, he’ll also produce it alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner.
