Emma Watson joining Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women”

Emma Watson replaces Emma Stone in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women.

Watson joins the star-studded cast set to star in the remake. According to Variety, Watson has been tapped to play the part originally intended for Stone, who is unable to join due to previous obligations.

Watson will be joining Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, and Laura Dern for the adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic which follows the March sisters in Civil War-era America.

The project is helmed by Gerwig, who is set to direct and write the film. Gerwig was nominated for five Oscars earlier this year for her Lady Bird.
