Last summer we met a whole new group of high schoolers that were facing issues of identity, drug addiction, abortion, violence, and sexuality with HBO’s Euphoria.

Starring Zendaya (Rue), Hunter Schafer (Jules), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Barbie Ferreira (Kat), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Maude Apatow (Lexi), Storm Reid (Rue), and Angus Cloud (Fezco), the first Season of Euphoria was a huge hit!

In July 2019 HBO announced that the series would be returning for a second season.

HBO confirmed on Twitter on December 15 that Euphoria Season 2 would be airing sometime in 2010, “My favorite thing to do in the world is watching great TV. But watching hype sizzle reels is a close second. See what’s available to stream now and what’s coming in 2020.” The video post was followed with a shot of Rue and Jules from the carnival in Season 1.

Storm Reid, who plays Rue’s younger sister Gia, told Entertainment Tonight in late February that, “In the next couple weeks we start [filming]…We’re getting scripts soon. Table reads are coming. I’m on the edge of my seat, because I have no information, other than my character is supposed to be developing and becoming her own. So I am very excited about that.”

We’ve still not received any official word as to who’ll be in the second season and with all the unanswered questions left from the finale of the first season, we’ll have to wait for HBO to give us further updates.

Some loose ends that will need to be cleared up in the second season are if Rue is alive or dead after what looks to have been an overdose, will Nate face jail time for his crimes, and what happened to Fez after the robbery?
