Fans Will Have to Wait a little longer for “Game Of Thrones” spin-offs

It looks like it’s going to be quite a wait for Game of Thrones fans. HBO chief Casey Bloys told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour, that the network will not launch any of the spin-offs for a year after the final episode of the 8th season has aired.

Games of Thrones is currently in its 7th season. Bloys said that the most important thing is not to draw any attention away from what he believes is an epic end to the series.

Even though 4 prequel spin-offs were already announced in May, Bloys wants to keep things separate and doesn’t want anything done that will take away from season 7 and 8. Games of Thrones author George R.R. Martin will take some part in the prequels, which will not, however, feature any of the series’ current characters.

The 8th and final season will consist of 6 episodes and will air in 2018.
