“Fashion Police” Says Goodbye After Nearly Two Decades

On Monday, the cast of E!’s Fashion Police, looked at some of the most memorable moments from the show and the icon who started it all, Joan Rivers. More than two decades after it’s premiere, the show’s finale episode,The Farewell, was an hour-long audacious, amusing and sincere special.

From 1995 until her unexpected death in 2014, iconic host, Rivers, entertained fans with her ruthless sense of humor aimed at celebrity fashion faux pas. The show gained popularity for its habit of critiquing fashion, as well as featuring fashion designers’ creations. In 2015, Rivers’ daughter Melissa began co-hosting the show, filling her mom’s spot.

When E! announced the show’s end, Melissa praised the network saying, “Thank you to E! for having the vision to see the potential of Fashion Police which changed both the entertainment and fashion industries. I am truly proud to be part of this legacy.”

Serving as the show’s final panel of hosts were Melissa, Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, NeNe Leakes and Margaret Cho. In addition to remembering the show’s outrageous moments, the finale also offered reflections on Rivers’ passing. Cho said, “There’s no way to fully really explain what she meant to me and what she meant to everyone. It’s phenomenal what she did for women in comedy.”
