The Final “Aquaman” DC Trailer has Emerged

The final trailer for Aquaman has emerged from the depths of the ocean.

The trailer suggests that the movie will take us back to Aquaman’s (Jason Momoa) childhood. The events take place before Atlantis was submerged in the ocean and we see Willem Dafoe as Vulko teaching him how to swim with “Atlantian instincts”, among other skills.

“My parents made me what I am,” the future Aquaman declares. “I am the protector of the deep.”

DC may have disappointed in the recent past, but the trailer does actually make the upcoming movie look pretty darn good. The costumes are creative and the settings are extravagant and unlike anything we have seen from DC before. It also seems as if… dare I say it… an actual, decent plot can be detected?

Trident in hand, Aquaman is encouraged to become not just King, but something far greater… a hero.

You can watch the action-packed final trailer here:

James Wan, who bought us the chilling original of The Conjuring will be directing. Momoa will star alongside Amber Heard, who in this trailer, is looking like Ariel from The Little Mermaid got a serious DC style upgrade.

Aquaman will be released in theatres December 21.
