Final Season of “Blindspot” Gets a Premiere Date

Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander in "Blindspot"

The fifth and final season of Blindspot will be premiering earlier than the summer date that NBC announced.

Blindspot will return to NBC on Thursday, April 30 and the fifth season will pick up from the aftermath of the explosion that saw Jane (Jamie Alexander) watching as a drone struck the safe house with her team left inside. The new season will have to answer who made it out alive and if the team can clear their names after Madeline’s rise to power.

The series creator Martin Gero said, “It would be safe to assume that not everyone makes it out of that safe house alive.” He added, “Should members of the team survive, they’re bonded together now, closer than they’ve ever been.”

The thriller drama stars Sullivan Stapelton, Jamie Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, Ennis Esmer, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

Since the show’s premiere in Fall 2015, it’s received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Stunt Coordination in 2017 and 2018.
