Fiona Apple Unveils Release Date for New Album

Fiona Apple has announced the April release date of Fetch the Bolt Cutters, her first studio album in nearly eight years. 

The news was confirmed by the artist in a video shared via the Fiona Apple Rocks Tumblr page.

Apple has been teasing new music for the past year, and has even dropped a number of singles, including “7 O’Clock News/Silent Night” and a cover of “The Whole of the Moon.”

Fetch the Bolt Cutters, Apple’s fifth studio album, is titled after a line said by Gillian Anderson in the British police series The Fall. It arrives digitally April 17, and follows 2012’s The Idler Wheel…
