Fiona Apple has announced the April release date of Fetch the Bolt Cutters, her first studio album in nearly eight years.
The news was confirmed by the artist in a video shared via the Fiona Apple Rocks Tumblr page.
Apple has been teasing new music for the past year, and has even dropped a number of singles, including “7 O’Clock News/Silent Night” and a cover of “The Whole of the Moon.”
Fetch the Bolt Cutters, Apple’s fifth studio album, is titled after a line said by Gillian Anderson in the British police series The Fall. It arrives digitally April 17, and follows 2012’s The Idler Wheel….
