Worlds Of “Split” And “Unbreakable” Collide in First “Glass” Trailer

M. Night Shyamalan spent years in director’s jail after releasing a series of epic fails. The success of his surprise hit Split put him back on the map and he’s showing no signs of stopping. Its sequel will unite the world of 2016 horror and Shyamalan’s 2000 classic Unbreakable.

The first trailer for Glass premiered at the Comic-Con, where the masses welcomed it with a rapturous applause. This trilogy was two decades in the making, and the upcoming movie is the highly-anticipated last chapter of the story. The trailer kicks off by showing Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) collectively examining three of her most demanding patients. James McAvoy stars as Kevin Wendell Crumb, a sinister man with 24 different personalities. Bruce Willis reprises his role as security guard-turned-crime fighter David Dunn from Unbreakable. Same goes for Samuel L. Jackson. He’s back to playing intellectual super villain Elijah Price a.k.a. Mr. Glass.

The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but fans are gearing up for another classic Shyamalan twist ending. The director described it as “the first truly grounded comic book movie” and really enjoyed going back to his roots while filming it. Horror aficionados will be able to do the same on January 18, 2019, when Glass hits the theaters.
