We can count on the masterminds behind Bridgerton to always give us something special just in time for the holidays, and they rang in the New Year in style! Spin-off series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is just around the corner and Netflix gave us the first look at the young version of Lady Danbury.
Arsema Thomas will take over from Adjoa Andoh as the younger version of the beloved character, but what does this new series have in store for her?
“Under the thumb of a much older husband, Agatha uses Charlotte’s arrival to find her own way into society. With keen knowledge of the once divided social scene and the intricacies of marriage, Agatha becomes a guiding light for the new Queen,” reads Netflix’s official statement.
Despite seeing Thomas play young Lady Danbury, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will also bring back Adjoa Andoh. Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) are also set to reprise their roles from the original series.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will premiere on Netflix later this year, and it will feature a total of eight episodes. India Amarteifio will play young Queen Charlotte and she’ll be joined by Corey Mylchreest as young King George III.
