Marvel shared many amazing news about its future projects at this year’s Comic-Con including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The long-awaited Black Panther sequel is one of the most anticipated films of the year and Marvel finally gave us a taste of things to come in the first teaser trailer.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever shows the leaders of the kingdom of Wakanda fighting to protect their nation in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. This plot change was made following the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman in 2020, and Marvel decided to honor him by not recasting T’Challa.

The trailer has Angela Bassett’s Ramonda as Queen of Wakanda, fighting for her kingdom after losing her son. Letitia Wright will have a bigger role as Shuri, with Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba returning to their roles from the previous film.

Ryan Coogler is also returning as a director and he reflected on Chadwick Boseman’s impact on this project at Comic-Con.

“We put our love for Chadwick into this film. We also put our passion. This film has a ton of action and humor. It’s also a roller coaster of a movie. It goes to new places in Wakanda that we’ve never been before but other corners of the MCU,” said Coogler.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to premiere on November 11, as the final film of the MCU’s Phase Four.
