Wes Anderson’s next film Asteroid City is on the way, and it’s going to be one star-studded affair! The first trailer for this highly-anticipated movie is here, and it takes us to a fictional American town where an annual space cadet convention goes terribly wrong.

Judging by the first trailer, Asteroid City will feature all of Anderson’s signature quirks, from his signature symmetry and pastel color palette to a silly soundtrack and A-list cast—but what is this film really about?

“The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

As always, Anderson managed to cast some of Hollywood’s biggest stars in his next project, and the cast includes the likes of Jason Schwartzman, Jeffrey Wright, Bryan Cranston, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, and Jeff Goldblum.

Asteroid City will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this May before hitting the theaters. It will get a limited theatrical release on June 16 before expanding wide on June 23.
