First Trailer and Release Date for “Skyscraper”

During Super Bowl LII, Universal Pictures released the first trailer for their original action-packed film Skyscraper starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Johnson who is known for action and comedy films such as Central Intelligence, Get Smart and The Fast and Furious Franchise stars as Will Ford, a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and war veteran, who now works as a security assessor for skyscrapers after having his leg amputated.

Ford and his family move to China for a potential job as a security assessor for skyscrapers. Set to a sultry cover of “I Wont Back Down” by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, in the trailer we see Johnson defying gravity and flying through the air in order to do one thing: save his family from terrorists, who may be responsible for the blazed skyscraper. However, we do not know for sure. Can Ford use his training and skills to save his family? The Building? Himself?

Johnson posted on his personal Twitter account on February 2nd, 2018 “We’re all willing to sacrifice it all when it comes to protecting our families.”

Skyscraper will hit theaters July 13, 2018. Check out the trailer below:
