Fox Cancels “Ghosted” Over Low Ratings

Variety confirms that Fox’s Ghosted has been, well, ghosted.

The cancellation comes during the comedy series’ freshman run and after it received what looked like a promising additional six-episode order in November.

The series starred Adam Scott and Craig Robinson and is follows an ex-Stanford professor and an ex-LAPD detective as they both get recruited by a secret government organization to investigate paranormal activity. The series also starred Ally Walker, Adeel Akhtar, and Amber Stevens West.

The show, however, exited the air in January for an overhaul. Paul Lieberstein (The Office) was tapped as showrunner but after nine episodes it was pulled by the network in April. It was brought back earlier this month to an unenthusiastic reception.

Scoring low on ratings, the series was canceled by Fox who has officially canceled its entire live-action comedy slate going into the fall.
