Hulu’s Future Man has been renewed for another season, but it will be its last.
The Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg high-concept comedy will return for the third season but that will be all. News that the series will wrap its run comes just days after it was confirmed that executive producers Rogen and Goldberg have exited from Sony TV for Lionsgate, where they signed an overall deal.
Season 3 will consist of eight episodes, down from previous seasons’ count of thirteen.
The series stars Josh Hutcherson and Eliza Coupe. Hutcherson stars as Josh, a janitor whose video-game skills get him recruited by soldiers from the future to help save the world. Coupe co-stars as soldier Tiger, with Derek Wilson playing soldier Wolf.
According to Deadline, Season 2 earned a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, up from 82% for Season 1, which leaves fans hopeful for a great final season.
Future Man debuted in November 2017. A return date has yet to be confirmed.
