The Bear became one of the biggest cultural phenomena to premiere on FX in the past few years, and it was just a matter of time before it was renewed. After knocking it out of the park with its second season, the critically acclaimed dramedy is officially coming back for another chapter.

The first season of The Bear centered on the young chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, who left the world of fine dining behind to run the rundown Chicago sandwich shop after his brother’s death. The second season switched up the premise and showed Carmy and his crew trying to change their restaurant from the ground up and reopen it as a fine dining establishment.

Jeremy Allen White led the ensemble cast of The Bear, alongside Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson. He already won several accolades for his performance, including the SAG Award and Golden Globe.

Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment, confirmed the show’s renewal in a statement and said they’re looking forward to the next chapter in the story of The Bear.

“We’re so proud to partner with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable,” said Grad.
