FX gave us one of the most delightful TV shows about vampires with What We Do in the Shadows, but all good things must come to an end. This acclaimed horror comedy is officially returning for its sixth season, but this will also be its final chapter.

Based on Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s hit 2014 film of the same name, What We Do in the Shadows introduced us to a new group of vampires, who are trying to reconcile their lives as creatures of the night with the complexities of the modern world.

Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak), Leslie “Laszlo” Cravensworth (Matt Berry), Nadja of Antipaxos (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) took center stage in this series, which saw them navigate their lives as vampires in Staten Island, New York.

Jemaine Clement created this series for FX and served as one of its executive producers alongside Waititi, Paul Simms, Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch, Eli Bush, and Stefani Robinson.

FX didn’t give a reason for the show’s cancelation, but What We Do in the Shadows experienced a dip in viewership during its latest season. Season 5 premiere was 35% in total viewers on FX, but it’s safe to assume more people tuned in to see it on Hulu.
